As part of our ongoing improvement projects we will be recruiting a Stores Person to the team as follows:

Responsible for:

The Stores Person is responsible for receipt and storage of consumable assets including raw materials, components and other consumables (including inks, chemicals etc.) and the administration of input to the ERP system. This role may also include some purchasing as and when required, as well as packing, and dispatch.


Organising and maintaining storage of materials etc. for the manufacturing facility. Being part of a positive team environment for the whole department.

Main Duties:

  • To organise the company’s stores of consumable assets in a systematic, efficient and safe manner
  • Ensuring items from the stores are easily retrievable
  • Arranging external deliveries/ orders are complete and ready on time for couriers, and packaged and labelled accurately and appropriately.
  • Undelivered items are tracked, with plans for delivery known and maintained until deliveries are achieved. Departments are kept informed of progress as requested.
  • Assisting in the maintenance and improvement of systems and procedures so the department functions as effectively and efficiently as possible.
  • Safe handling, labelling, and storage of dangerous goods, in line with organisation policy (Environmental) and procedure, and legislative standards (ISO14001)
  • Internal kitting of Work Orders to ensure deliveries to departments match what was requested, are made in a timely manner for internal deliveries are complete, accurate, on time, and are left in an appropriate and safe part of the department

Other Duties: 

  • To advise of any stock issues i.e. material shortages, excess stocks etc
  • Contribute to monthly/annual stock take and other stores reviews from time to time
  • To ensure the materials / stores area is tidy and safe at all times
  • To ensure the forklift, van and any equipment is safe and ready to operate at any time
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to the continuous improvement programme of work within the department.
  • Ensure that the organisation safety policy, is followed and that appropriate behaviours and safe practices are demonstrated
  • Ensure that all contact with external parties is conducted in a courteous manner, and upholds ethical and privacy standards
  • Flexible to the changing needs and requirements of the department, team and business
