Business Development Manager

We have an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our growing Sales team. This permanent position will be well suited to an individual with a strong background within sales and business development in the Plastic Injection Moulding Industry.

The position

Main responsibilities:

  • Research and identify new business opportunities, customer needs, new markets and new ways of reaching existing markets and qualify leads as sales opportunities
  • Develop a full understanding of Hi-Tech’s products and services and how to communicate and present these to new and existing customers to generate sales opportunities
  • Develop and drive campaigns and strategies to drive additional sales opportunities with new and existing customers
  • Act as the customer Account Manager until project is formally handed over to Sales and Operations
  • Continuously maintain and update the pipeline and sales activity data within internal systems such as CRM

Person specification:

  • Proven working experience as a business development manager or a relevant role
  • Previous experience working within the Plastic Injection Moulding Industry
  • Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle and the ability to travel and stay overnight where required
  • Ability to work and remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
