High-Volume Manufacturing for Safety-Critical Components
Moulding and assembling high volumes of precision parts for safety-critical applications takes a great deal of experience and advanced preparation to consistently deliver high quality. We have an extensive New Product Introduction (NPI) process which ensures the ramp-up to full production is as seamless as possible. This often includes areas such as clearly defining injection moulding process windows, scientific studies, capability studies and Measurement System Analysis for mouldings.
For assembly, we cover Poke Yoke assembly jigs, automatic test equipment, bespoke fixtures and defined in-process quality assessment criteria including measurements, performance and visual standards. With all these steps we welcome as much customer interaction as you wish to ensure the final products are produced very efficiently with close to zero scrap and meet all specifications for years, even if we are producing parts in the millions.

A representative example of this is our services supplying safety-critical inflation devices for life vests. Hi-tech produces all the mouldings, sources all the sub-components, fully assembles the parts with multiple in-line testing stations, then conducts end-of-line testing, bespoke packaging and labelling, followed by direct supply to our customers’ distribution network. This is all done from our Slovakian facility under a robust ISO 9001 quality system with full, batch-level traceability.
